Abstract
Environmental Management and Protection Act was enacted in 2009, AMDAL (Analisis Dampak Lingkungan) or Environmental Permit is one ruled under this act. However, during implementation, AMDAL had problems, one of the problems was a bribe to pass the permit, and others like wrong analysis that impacted to environment and society, one case from a discovery by the researcher is made an AMDAL with photocopy of another AMDAL. Thereby, the researcher will analyse and make a pattern of the case of AMDAL –especially in corruption cases– from 2009, from verdict documents of corruption, and make an interview with NGO (Non-government organisation) which advocate to the environmental case. With a socio-legal studies approach, the researcher will look at the impact on society and make a recommendation from this problem. Ultimately, this analysis will make a transformation system of AMDAL which was changed in 2020 with the Job Creation (Cipta Kerja) Act, which removed a local society and environmentalist to protect the environment, changed into under control by the national government.
